The southern Appalachian region is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant culture, and resilient communities. However, within this captivating tapestry, the narratives and contributions of women have often been overlooked or underrepresented. At SAW, we strive to bridge this historical gap by centering the stories of remarkable women who have left an indelible mark on this region. Through research, creative costuming, and photography, we bring to life characters and people through our imaginations and imagery.
